Additionally, our ebike rentals come with optional guided routes for an immersive exploration of the scenic Hood River area. Guided Ebike tours are by special request only for an additional fee. 

While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend making reservations online, especially for kayak rentals, kayak tours, and ebike adventures, to secure your preferred time slot and ensure availability during peak periods.

We welcome paddlers and bikers of various ages and sizes. Please check our website or contact us for detailed information on any age and weight restrictions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

For kayaking, wear comfortable clothing suitable for water activities, and for ebiking, dress appropriately for the weather. Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle. Water shoes or secure sandals are recommended for kayaking.

Convenient parking facilities are available for our visitors. We have 10 spaces available in our lower lot. Outside of our lot there is plenty of pay for parking along the roadway above our business.

A true Hood River local, Todd  graduated from Hood River Valley High School in 2003. Following High School Todd completed his bachelor’s degree at University of Oregon. For years he competed around the country as a professional whitewater kayaker placing on the podium in many international events. Rental Site Manager

This is Wyatt’s first summer working with the Gorge Paddling Center. He grew up in Hood River and has a strong connection with the watersports of the Columbia River Gorge. Wyatt trained for several years on Hood River’s Junior Elite Paddleboard squad, he is happy to share his knowledge and give you pointers as he launches you off our dock. Wyatt’s favorite activity is kiteboarding and he routinely gets out for a session after a day of rentals. Whether kayak or SUP rental, Wyatt will ensure you are geared up for a fun day on the water.

Kayak Guide and Rentals Coordinator

Lindsay was drawn to the Northwest right out of High School, she moved to Portland from the San Jose area in order to be out in nature and get her bachelor’s degree from Portland State University. She found a love for the river right away which lead her to train and become a raft guide. She has lived in the Hood River area going on 8 years now and enjoys sharing her love for the river and nature with guests on our kayak tours. She also helps us keep it all together at our Kayak and Paddleboard Rental Site in Hood River. Lindsay always has a friendly smile and a kind word regardless of how busy and wild the rental site is.
